If you have not already turned in an early or by-mail ballot, be sure to vote by turning in a paper ballot or going to your polling place on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

I am doing a write-in campaign for Nebraska State Treasurer on the Democratic Party primary ticket. The Democratic Party has put up no candidate for that position. I left the Libertarian Party and joined the Democratic Party 2011.

To write my in on the Democratic primary ballot (names must be exact for write-in votes), write in “Elizabeth Kulacz” and mark the bubble.

I am familiar with reporting requirements for a political campaign, IRS rules from my work as a business owner, tax preparer, and bookkeeper, and laws and rules pertaining to Nebraska State requirements, and budget requirements from my work and Nebraska State Training as a Librarian. A major law in Nebraska is that ALL ENTITIES MUST HAVE MONEY IN THEIR BUDGET BEFORE THEY SPEND IT.

If elected, I promise to use my skills, and endeavor to hire or retain staff to help ensure that Nebraska funds are used as the Unicameral and the people have voted to use them. I have a knack, which I honed during my software quality assurance days, used farther in personal investing, to look at something and identify that “something is wrong”. It tells me where to spend my time looking for problems.

My qualifications for the job are:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida (1983), Computer Information Science major
  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from DeVry University in Colorado Springs (2002)
  • Software Engineer for Digital Equipment Corporation (1984-1994) Software Quality Assurance
  • Campaign Treasurer for Colorado Libertarian US House candidate Keith Hamburger (1992)Campaign
  • Co-Owner software company “3 Cats & a Mouse, Inc.” (1994-2000)
  • Past Library Board member and later Director, Broadwater Public Library
  • Bookkeeper for a Colorado Springs construction company (1984)
  • Former tax preparer, Jackson-Hewett in Ponca City, Oklahoma (2008)

Keep Cool with Kulacz! Vote for Beth!

More importantly, be sure to vote in Tuesday’s Primary Election.
